In Fitmanager, you can decide whether or not you want to use an OPT-IN for your newsletters. You can set your preference through Settings > Profile > Newsletter approval. This concerns the messages you send through Communication > Newsletters.
OPT-IN VIA FITMANAGER
If you choose to use the OPT-IN through Fitmanager, your clients can decide for themselves whether they want to receive your newsletters or not. They can adjust these settings in their own account by going to their personal settings. To do this, they can click on their name in the top right corner and click on Account settings. In the Account settings, they will see Email settings, where they can adjust a number of email options, including the newsletter.
NO OPT-IN VIA FITMANAGER
If you decide to turn the OPT-IN via Fitmanager off, your clients will not be able to determine whether they want to receive your newsletters or not. All newsletter you create as an organisation will be sent to all clients, or a specific group if you select this option.
What happens if you adjust the OPT-IN settings?
If you set your Newsletter approval to OPT-IN via Fitmanager, your clients will have the option to set their own preference. If you decide to turn the OPT-IN via Fitmanager off at a later time, the option to set a preference will no longer be visible for your clients and they will receive all of your newsletters. If you then want to go back to the OPT-IN via Fitmanager, the option will become visible again for your clients with their previous choice regarding newsletters unchanged. This way, the client won't have to state their preference again.
